Billy lives in a small community, and loves fishing, footy, and well… school not so much.
So when he had a few problems with his friends after a party one weekend…

He stopped turning up at school for a few days…
And then because he was shame about falling behind in class…
A few days became a few weeks.
But Billy knew he needed to finish school to get the job he wanted as a ranger.
So he found a teacher at the school he could trust…
And talked through what had been going on, as well as his plans for the future…

Talking to someone we trust about our school options
Then he touched base with a friend…
And found out things weren’t as bad as he thought with his mates.

Things aren’t always as bad as we think
Now he’s back at school…
He’s found a teacher to help him catch up on what he’d missed.
He still doesn’t love it,
But he’s turning up and it’s going okay.

He’s also getting involved in the Volunteer for Parks program during the holidays to get some experience and develop some contacts to help him get that ranger job…
